ASA will not boot up, I get nothing on the console.

Cisco ASA 5500 will not boot up, Get nothing on the console. Status light stays amber.

I have had this happen to me two times, with a 5540 and a 5510.

I had an EFA performed on the 5510 to find that the CPU Socket had a problem. Cisco stated that it didn't look like it had anything to do with any physical damage.

Has anybody else had this problem with these symptoms? Have you had an EFA performed? I would like to hear about your experiences with this!!!

An EFA is when Cisco does an in-depth analysts of the problem and will report back to the customer was failed and caused the outage. When TAC sets up the RMA, tell them you want an EFA and they will give you different replacement procedures.
