Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.2 is running slow

Postby admin » Fri Dec 07, 2012 4:13 pm

Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.2 runs slow. I found that a user logging in with a TACACS account takes about 20-25 seconds and a user in the local user database took about 115 seconds. (Lobby Admin is a local account). Viewing Maps are slow, overall, the entire system seems to be slow.

The Fix looks to be to simply wait until 1.2.1 comes out. There are some work arounds in the document blow

Here is more information on this issue, you will need a CCO login to view this document from Cisco about this.

Cisco confirmed that this is a result of Bug ID CSCud62096.

TAC states there should be a fix for this in release 1.3.x in January 2013.

After upgrading to version 1.3, I continue to have slow logins.

One suggestion from TAC was to delete any unreachable MSE's like a NMWLC6. I had one unreachable and after deleting it and restarting the service, it's is still slow.

I have upgraded to Prime 2.0 and the slow performance seems to be resolved.
