What is a good home web content filter?

Postby admin » Tue Aug 07, 2012 8:56 pm

OpenDNS.com is a great content filter for your business or your home. They have home plans available for $10 a year. With your subscription you are able to block or allow by categories. You simply point your DNS on the PC's to the OpenDNS DNS servers.

I have my wireless router hand out the OpenDNS DNS server IP's and then require the client to use those IP's. You also need to lock down the DNS settings from the people you want to block content from.

I hope this helps.

What other content filters have you used that are really good?
