How to configure flexible NetFlow on a Cisco 4500 chassis?

Postby admin » Tue Apr 18, 2017 9:47 am

There are a few different ways to configure Flexible Netflow on a Cisco 4500 switch. The below config works in 3.6.5, 4506, 4510 with SUP8E.

flow record r1
match ipv4 tos
match ipv4 protocol
match ipv4 source address
match ipv4 destination address
match transport source-port
match transport destination-port
collect interface input
collect interface output
collect counter bytes long
collect counter packets long
collect timestamp sys-uptime first
collect timestamp sys-uptime last
!
!
flow exporter FlowExport-1
destination 10.1.1.1
source <MGMT vlan or IP>
transport udp 9991 (Cisco Prime wants 9991, other collectors may be different)
!
!
flow monitor FlowMonitorIN
exporter FlowExport-1
cache timeout inactive 15
cache timeout active 60
cache entries 1000
record r1

vlan configuration 1-10 (List your VLANS that you want to apply it to)
ip flow monitor FlowMonitorIN input

Remember to adjust the above to fit your needs.
